Inter Miami has released its season ticket prices for the 2024 season and, let’s just say, La Familia isn’t happy.
With Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba joining the club this summer, interest in the team has skyrocketed. Naturally, wanting to capitalize off this new era, the club has hiked up the prices of season tickets.
Unfortunately, the unintended consequences of this are alienating supporters who have followed the team since its inception.
For comparison, last year the average season ticket for the North Stand was approximately $485.00 dollars. Heading into 2024, those same seats have jumped to $884.00.
Now, I’m not a mathematician, but that’s a near-$400 dollar increase in a year.
Inter Miami has become the center of the footballing world after their high-profile summer transfer window, but it would be a true shame if they stonewalled faithful supporters who have followed the team during their highs and lows.
The club has increased season ticket prices heading into the highly anticipated 2024 season.
As seen in the tweet/post above, it shows that expenses have almost tripled in price compared to last year.
Let’s see if the mass backlash will force the club to lower the prices.
Our take: It’s unfortunate that fans who have been supporting the club since the beginning may be priced out like this. Of course, having the best player of all time on the roster will make things expensive, but even Messi would probably be against pricing out die-hard fans who have built a close connection with the team.
2) 🗽NYCFC Preview
Miami will want to take the sting out of their Open Cup loss by climbing the table with a possible win against NYCFC.
Led by manager Nick Cushing, the Pigeons haven’t had the most successful 2023, currently sitting ninth in the East.
However, the New York side is heading into the match-up in good form, winning three out of their last five games.
Miami is just five points back from a spot in the playoffs.
The Herons will have to be careful defensively. NYCFC boasts attacking talents such as Monsef Bakrar, Talles Magno, Santiago Rodriguez, and Andres Jasson, who could give Miami trouble on the counter.
With just five games left in the season, the Herons need to take advantage of hosting NYCFC at home and pick up three points.
Our take: NYCFC will be a difficult team to take on, however, with Miami desperately wanting to make the playoffs, they should have some extra motivation to get the win.
