Good morning! Messi played about 37 minutes against Paraguay yesterday and looked like his usual self.
That bodes well for Inter Miami and their last two games of the season.

1) 🇦🇷 Messi Nearly Scores For La Albiceleste
Messi returned to the field for Argentina in their 1-0 win over Paraguay. The World Cup winner played about 37 minutes as he continues to work his way back to full fitness.
He had some nice moments of interplay with Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez and looked solid going forward.
Of course, you can’t end a Messi match without some glimpses of magic. The Argentine nearly scored - twice. First off an Olimpico, then from a free-kick that just hit the post.
Messi looked good in his return for Argentina.
Although he only played 37 minutes, the 36-year-old played well.
Miami will end the season playing Charlotte FC twice. Once on October 18th and again on October 21st.
Our take: Returning from a leg injury takes time and Messi is showing that his recovery is going well. It still remains to be seen if he’ll play in Miami’s last two matches of the year, however.
2) 🤕 Injured Players That Could’ve Made An Impact With Messi
As the season comes to a close, I can’t help but wonder about which players could’ve made an impact during Miami’s new era.
For starters, Gregore would’ve been a huge addition had he not gotten injured early in the season. His defensive anticipation, determination, and physical toughness would’ve been ideal next to Busquets.
Another player that would’ve been great is Franco Negri. Before he tore his ACL, the left-back was one of Miami’s most dangerous attacking players.
With Jordi Alba’s semi-long-term injury, having Negri on as a backup would’ve given Miami a different dynamic on the wings.
Jean Mota and Coco Jean would also be players that qualify for this list.
Inter Miami were hampered by injuries early in the season.
The team is hoping that they can be back fit in time for next year.
Our take: While the Herons made do with what they already had, I can’t help but think that Gregore and Negri especially would’ve made a big impact on the team.
3) 🤢 Messi Responds To Being Spat On…
🚨🗣 Lionel Messi: "Sanabria (Paraguay player)? They told me in the locker room that someone spat on me. The truth is that I don't even know who that boy is. I prefer not to talk, otherwise he's going to go out and talk everywhere and will be known."
