1) ✈️ The Herons Fly Off To International Duty
After missing the playoffs, the Herons went straight to the international break, joining up with their national team for friendlies and upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Here’s the full list below:
Sergiy Kryvtsov – Ukraine: vs. Czech Republic on October 14th, and Malta on October 17th.
Benjamin Cremaschi - USA U23s: vs Mexico on October 11th, and Japan on October 17th.
David Ruiz - Honduras: vs Cuba on October 12th and 15th.
Kamal Miller - Canada: vs Japan on October 13th.
Robert Taylor - Finland: vs Slovenia on October 14th and Kazakhstan on October 17th.
Edison Azcona - Dominican Republic: vs Barbados on October 13th and 16th.
Josef Martinez - Venezuela: vs Brazil on October 12th and Chile on October 17th.
Diego Gomez - Paraguay: vs Argentina on October 12th and Bolivia on October 17th.
Lionel Messi and Facundo Farias - Argentina: vs Paraguay on October 12th and Peru on October 17th.
Our take: The international break hasn’t been kind to Inter Miami this year. Last September window, the Herons were without a couple of first-team players, forcing head coach Tata Martino to put out a rotated side against Sporting KC.
History looks to repeat itself on October 18th when the men in pink take on Charlotte FC.
2) 🐐 Messi and Argentina take on Paraguay
La Albiceleste sits second in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying, with six points through two games.
According to Diaoro Ole, Messi’s readiness will be assessed before making the decision to play him against the Albirroja.

Messi recently returned to the pitch in Inter Miami’s 1-0 loss to FC Cincinnati.
Argentina will look to use him if he’s able to start.
Head coach Lionel Scaloni will assess Messi to see if he can play additional minutes.
Our take: It’s nice to see Messi back on the pitch, but it remains to be seen if he can go a full 90 after a long injury layoff.
3)😔 Tweet Of The Day: Eden Hazard retires
