Good morning! Inter Miami has started its overhaul, releasing their end-of-year roster decisions.

As expected, Josef Martinez will not be returning to the club, with Victor Ulloa and Jake LaCava not included in 2024’s plans either.

Inter Miami has begun its roster revamp.

Yesterday, the team released its end-of-year roster decisions with Josef Martinez, Victor Ulloa, and Jake LaCava leaving the team.

The decision on Martinez was expected, with Tata Martino telling the media after Miami’s loss to Charlotte FC that the Venezuelan would not return.

Though they are only rumors, it’s highly likely that forward Luis Suarez will be joining the team in the winter in place of Martinez.

• Martinez will leave Miami, scoring 12 goals in 40 appearances for Miami.

• Luis Suarez is strongly linked to the team and would be a replacement for the Venezuelan.

• Miami’s front office will be smart in their player recruitment this winter.

Our take: Though they didn’t make the playoffs, the excitement for 2024 is palpable. With the off-season in semi-full swing, Miami will want to win more silverware next year.

CONCACAF releases the schedule for the 2024 Champions Cup.

Miami will be playing in the competition for the first time in club history. Because they won the Leagues Cup, the Herons have a bye in the first round and will start play in the round of 16.

• This is the first time Miami will play in the tournament.

• The current trophy holders are LIGA MX side Leon.

• Miami will want to earn more silverware next season.

Our take: Winning the Champions Cup will be difficult but with Miami’s roster revamp, they’ll have a fair shot at it.
