1) 🇨🇳 China Friendlies Off, Miami To Train To November

According to Argentine journalist Gaston Edul, Inter Miami’s proposed trip to China has officially been called off.

Due to political red tape, and commercial and ticketing issues, the Herons will stay put in South Florida for the foreseeable future.

However, Edul also claims that Miami could still play a friendly in mid-November to replace the canceled matches.

Translation: Inter Miami will train until the second half of November. There may be a chance for a friendly match in the meantime.

  • It’s unfortunate that Miami’s trip to China was canceled.

  • On the positive side, it will give the Herons more time to work on tactics.

  • According to Edul, Miami could still play an exhibition game in November.

Our take: Though it’s not ideal that the friendlies were canceled, Miami will get more time to work on tactics.

2) 🇺🇾 Inter Miami Target Called Back Into Uruguay National Team

After being banished to the shadow realm by manager Marcelo Bielsa, according to journalist Jeremias Wernek, Luis Suarez looks set to get called back into the Uruguayan National Team.

Suarez has not featured for La Celeste since the team’s exit at the 2022 World Cup. Should the forward return, it would be his first match for the Sky Blues since then.

  • Suarez has been in incredible form for Gremio.

  • His 19 G/A this season is the main reason why Inter Miami wants to bring him to the club.

  • If the forward returns to the team, it will show just how well he’s been playing.

Our take: If this report is true, Suarez is more than deserving of another call-up. Though it looks like La Celeste has done without him, it doesn’t hurt having the 36-year-old back into the fold.
